📘 Virtual Museum Toolkit

This Toolkit is designed as a practical complement to the “Digital Museum Learning and Engagement Guide,” as part of a dual system: while the Guide provides conceptual and pedagogical directions, the Toolkit translates them into practical workflows, technical standards and examples. A quick content map organizes the Toolkit into eight thematic chapters, each focusing on distinct but interconnected steps of developing a virtual museum.

📘 The Virtual Museum

The virtual space was designed as a shared environment where local traditions, stories, places and knowledge can be explored beyond geographical borders. Through images, videos, audio recordings and digital storytelling, visitors can discover different expressions of European heritage and better understand the cultural richness that connects communities across the continent. This museum is organised around five thematic areas covering traditions and celebrations, oral heritage, natural heritage, cultural and architectural heritage, and culinary traditions. Each section presents materials collected and developed by project participants, offering a glimpse into the unique identities of the partner countries while highlighting common values and shared cultural roots.
